Erasmus UPT's report with findings on Lake Tanganyika Maritime Corridor study is now available for download, view the publication below.
In October of last year, Netherlands Enterprise Agency asked the Erasmus UPT team to conduct a study to assess the corridor connectivity as well as to develop a governance model for developing the maritime corridor of Lake Tanganyika. Lake Tanganyika is one of Africa's largest lakes in East Africa and is of great economic importance. Especially for the countries that are close to it: Burundi, DR Congo, Zambia and Tanzania. With improved and sustainable infrastructure (transport corridors), maritime trade around Lake Tanganyika can develop.
