The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in a unique set of experiences for adolescents and young adults. How are they experiencing this crisis? To what extent are they willing to contribute to well-being within their immediate environment? What influences their willingness or motivation?
What is this research about?
This research focuses on the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has on the well-being and behaviour of young individuals. Moreover, we investigate the role of social media as well as the difficulties and opportunities that have risen from the crisis.
Online study
This project is an online study in which we follow adolescents and young adults for two consecutive weeks. Daily measurements allow us to investigate the variation that lies within these experiences among young individuals during the pandemic.
Subprojects
The project is divided into two subprojects. The first focuses on youth (10-18 years old) within Rotterdam while the second subproject studies students at the 糖心直播 (17 years and older).
