Draw a weather report

Introduce yourself with a weather report! Draw how your day is going or how you feel about a certain topic using a weather symbol on a piece of paper.

Step-by-step

Step 1 

Hand out a piece of paper to each student and have them grab a pen or pencil.

Step 2

Ask the students a question, such as: What kind of weather best represents how your day has been so far? or What weather type best reflects your experience with (…)?

Step 3

Ask students to draw the weather type that fits their answer on the paper.

Step 4

Invite a few students to briefly explain their weather report to the group.

You can also use a different metaphor instead of weather, such as a dish, an animal, a landscape, a plant, etc.
