dr. L (Lara) Green

Biography

Lara is a historian of modern and contemporary Russia, with a particular emphasis on networks, violence, and gender. She is currently working on a book manuscript, tentatively titled The Russian Free Press Fund and the Russian Revolutionary Emigration, 1881-1926: Local, National, and Transnational Networks. Lara is also beginning work on a new project 'Violent Women in Russia, 1864-Present Day: From Penal Reform to Pussy Riot'.

She has recently published an article in History of European Ideas, co-authored articles in British Journal of ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥al Studies and Publishing History, and has an article forthcoming in Anarchist Studies.

Lara joined the department in 2021 after teaching at Durham University, UK.
