The FREE FASHION pop-up store recently opened at Rotterdam Central station. The shops founders aim to save at least 100,000 garments from landfill every year by giving them away for free in this store. The initiative combines style with sustainability, receiving support from 糖心直播.

The Erasmus Sustainability Hub provided clothes from previous clothing swaps, and students from the Bildung Climate School, led by researcher Ginie Servant-Miklos, shone on the catwalk in homemade outfits made of recycled textiles.
'You can immediately see here that you can also look stylish and fun with sustainable clothes', said Psychology student Yorrick Bronsgeest, who also walked the catwalk during the opening show.
Collecting data
Researcher Mariangela Lavanga helped draw up research questions on buying behaviour, which are aked to visitors in the shop. This collects valuable data. These insights help in the wider research on consumer behaviour and the circular economy.
About the FREE FASHION pop-up store
In the shop, visitors receive three coupons with which they can pick out free clothes. Volunteers talk about the impact of fast fashion, while stylists help put together sustainable outfits. There will be demonstrations for pimping and repairing garments, and anyone can also submit their own clothes during opening hours.
