On March 7, the first annual conference of the Sectorplan SSH-Breed was held in Rotterdam. The event brought together national and international scholars from a wide range of disciplines across the social sciences, humanities, and beyond. The conference aimed to advance and give impetus to the core focus of the Erasmus Sectorplan SSH-Breed: The influence of digitalisation on work, prosperity, and entrepreneurship.
The conference was opened by academic director of the Erasmus SSH-Breed Sectorplan Koen Swinnen. The plenary keynote speech ‘Here’s the Thing: 'Critically leveraging human-centric AI within the workplace’ was given by Jason Pridmore (Associate Professor, Department of Media and Communication; Co-Director for AI and ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥al Technology, Community for Learning Innovation; Co-Lead AI Strategy group (ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥)), followed by breakout workshops around each of the conference themes.
Throughout the event, also several members of the Sectorplan presented their research or participated as a chair or discussant in various panel sessions, contributing with their expertise to interesting conversations on the influence of digital transformation in society.
