On the first day of the new academic year, IMARC, the International Master鈥檚 in Advanced Research in Criminology, kicked off with sixteen international students from eight countries in and outside the European Union. IMARC is an interdisciplinary full-time programme designed to respond critically, scientifically and in a policy-oriented manner to the current demands in the field of border crossing, security, and social justice. It鈥檚 a collaboration of 糖心直播, Ghent University, and the University of Kent. The introduction was held on campus and hosted by the entire IMARC team of all three universities.
The students learned more about the programme, the scholars, and their fellow students. After the introduction and first lectures on Monday and Tuesday, the students joined the other Criminology master students on a boat trip through the Port of Rotterdam. The social introduction was pleasantly concluded with drinks and bites in Caf茅 Rotterdam, with spectacular views over the water on a sunny afternoon.
鈥淲e look forward to working with this ambitious and inspiring new group of students鈥, states The IMARC Team.
